THE SIMPSONS DID IT - The Homer Car of the Future.

Real Life can be much more interesting than fiction. With over 500 episodes, The Simpsons have used a lot of ideas.  So many reality is starting to copy them...

The features of Homer's hideous car design come to be...

21 February 1991:  The Simpson's episode "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?" first aired.  It featured Homer designing a car for the everyman, which ended up bankrupting his haf-brother.

2014: A Wired article suggests that the car was ahead of its time, saying that many of the features now exist, including:
  • Multiple horns.
  • Huge engine.
  • Gigantic cup holders.
  • Soundproof interiors.
  • Shag carpet (Rolls Royce only.)
It stretches the point on some things and the most important features: the individual bubbles and the giant spoiler aren't on there.

So what do people think?  Does this pass or fail as life copying The Simpsons?
